Fasten your seatbelts for a ride into the Solar System!
Year 5 were lucky enough to take a virtual trip into space when a mobile planetarium landed in the school hall.
Year 6 have been completing their own market research in preparation for their DT projects.
They have been tasked with making a moving toy, using cams for a KS1 friend. We went armed with notebooks to the Infants to find out what would make the perfect toy!
We are looking forward to making our toys and taking them back to our KS1 friends to be our product testers!

Our new class story is Cosmic by Frank Cottrell-Boyce.
It is a funny adventure story with a science-fiction element.
In guided reading, we discussed the themes in the book and then explored the library to look for books with similar themes.
Sometimes it is nice to get out of your seat in a guided reading session!

The annual Guy Competition was fiercely competed as always – with class 6JJ coming out on top with their wonderful Dalek, complete with flashing lights (although we wonder if anyone is missing a washing basket?).
Thanks to all the effort that went into the entries ahead of what was another fabulous fireworks display. And thanks to the Fordingbridge Mayor for judging the competition.
Year 6 have been supporting some children to complete their Learning Unit homework. Thank you to all those children who gave their time to help those who have not found the time to complete their Learning Unit homework at home.
